Cancellation and refunds
Last updated 20 August 2026.
The short version: there is a 30-day free trial so you can find out before paying anything, you can cancel in two clicks, and if you paid for a year and it is not working out, talk to us.
Cancelling
Open your account page and choose to manage your subscription. That opens Stripe’s billing portal, where you can cancel, switch plan or update your card.
Cancelling stops the next payment. Your subscription runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and logging new trips stays available until then. After that, your records remain readable and exportable — cancelling never locks you out of your own trip history.
Your 14-day right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from starting a subscription to change your mind and get a refund. If you have used the service in that time we may reduce the refund proportionately, which in practice we rarely bother with.
To use this right, email office@miletallypro.co.uk within 14 days of the payment. No form and no particular wording — telling us plainly is enough.
Outside the 14 days
- Monthly plan
- We do not routinely refund part of a month, because cancelling already stops the next one and you keep what you paid for until it ends.
- Annual plan
- If you cancel partway through a year, email us. We will normally refund the unused whole months. We would rather do that than hold money from someone who has stopped using the product.
- If something was wrong at our end
- A charge you did not expect, a duplicate payment, a period where the service was not usable — tell us and we will refund it. This is not discretionary and you do not need to argue for it.
Trials
The trial takes no card and turns into nothing. It simply stops letting you log new trips when it ends. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.
How refunds are paid
Back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. Refunds are usually issued within three working days and take a further five to ten working days to appear, depending on your bank.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries for around two weeks and your access continues while it does. An expired card should not cost you your records. If it still has not gone through after that, the subscription ends — and your data stays exportable.
Deleting your account
Deleting your account from the account page cancels any live subscription immediately and erases your trips, profile and billing record. It does not automatically refund the current period; if a refund is due under this policy, email us. Deletion cannot be undone, so export your records first — see the terms.
Contact
office@miletallypro.co.uk, or through the contact page. Refund requests are answered within three working days.
None of this affects your statutory rights.
